Hmong Girl Named Glue

Now you may say that the name Glue for a little girl is very unusual. One might first think the name could Hmong or Thai. Well its not. Its really not that usual for this little girl.

She lives in Song Khwae and was at Bangyat's house each time we were there for a meeting about a year ago. This is the same place where we saw a very sick baby with Downs and another little girl that had to crawl everywhere she went. I also showed pictures of other sick children in that post.

It may have left the impression that all children in Hmong villages are sick and unhappy. Well, I'm here to tell that's not true.

Of course this little girl's name is not really Glue. From the moment she saw me, she "glued" herself to me. If I was standing she had a hold of my leg. If I was walking she was right there with me. And if I sat down, she was on my lap. We were two peas in a pod.

She is a very happy little girl and talks all the time. She was giving me orders all the time. I couldn't do enough for her. She was glued to me.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of Glue. She has glued herself to my heart and mind always! Thank you Jesus for all these children in Hmong villages!
