HMONG CELL CHURCH PLANTING IN NORTHERN THAILAND
This plan was developed by the HIM Group Leader and is partially implemented at this time.
I. Currently, there are six Provinces in Northern Thailand covered in this plan:
Chiang Rai Province - 50,000 people - 45 villages
Nan Province - 27,000 people - 25 villages
Chiang Mai Province - 23,000 people - 35-40 villages
Mae Hong Son Province - 5,000 people - 15 villages
Lampang Province - 4,000 people - 3 or 4 major villages
Phayao Province - 3,700 people - 7 villages
II. The immediate plan was to develop two districts in the Eastern half of Northern Thailand, which will include Chiang Rai, Phayao, and Nan Provinces. These three Provinces account for over 66 % of the total Hmong population in the six Provinces and 55 % of the villages.
The HIM Group Leader supervises Xeng Lor in Chiang Rai Province District and Bangyat Her in Nan Province District.
Other districts will be defined as God provides new servants.
III. Maesaran Bible Training Center in Mae Hong Son, offers a great two year Leadership/Bible Training Course. It consists of six months in the class room and then six months in the field. The cost is only $150/year. It is possible that HIM can send some students there in the future.
Also, The Bible League of Thailand can train servants in Cell Church techniques.
IV. The Village Ministries will be expanded by HIM as newly trained leaders are in place to take the village responsibilities. There are over 120,000 Hmong living in Thailand in 130-140 villages. The following list of villages are among those currently being served:
